Feel Good Friday – Yippee! Even though it is still February it feels like spring is just around the corner. Maybe it’s because I just got back from California so I am missing the warmer weather and the stronger sun. I’m also sitting at my desk and hearing the birds chirping. Soon I will be hearing the spring “peepers” that always signal warmer weather is here in New England.
Since I have spring fever, I thought I would feature a few styles of booties that you might want to try for transitioning from now into summer. I included links to where you can purchase if you see something you like!
Paul Green Durango Ankle Boot $415 (HERE)
I have this ankle boot and it is perfect to wear right now. Paul Green’s are well worth the price as they are a very comfortable boot and good quality. I was able to get 50% off after the holidays at a boutique on the Cape. That helped! The Durango features a stacked-heel and a country-chic style. You can wear these now with your skinny jeans and a short hidden ped sock for warmth. Just leave a gap between the bootie and your jeans to let a peek of leg show (no more than 1-2 inches).
Dolce Vita Kara $130 (HERE)
The Dolce Vita Kara is a cute bootie you can also wear right now. It is made of perforated leather, has an almond toe and the buckle is adjustable for comfort. I included the link to the video on my favorite shopping site Joyus as they always do such a great job describing and styling their products. Try these with a midi skirt for a different look.
TOMS Majorca Peep Toe $98 (HERE)
When the weather gets a little warmer and you want to show off that pedicure, go for these TOMS booties. Of course, you know TOMS is a favorite brand of mine as they will give a pair of shoes to a child in need for each pair you buy. Win, win! These are beautiful and comfortable booties. The color is a nice rich grey green which goes with everything. The heel height is classy but comfortable. They will dress up jeans and a t-shirt perfectly!
Matt Bernson Chestnut Marlow Bootie $199 (HERE)
I have several pairs of Matt Bernson booties which I love. This style comes in unlined synthetic raffia and has leather piping trim along the top. The chestnut color is a great neutral. This style is more of a transition from spring into summer.
Vince Camuto Tarita Cutout Lace-up $129 (HERE)
This may not exactly be a bootie – maybe a sandal but I had to show you these as I just bought them and they are so comfortable. I was shopping with my sister in Florida and we spotted these and I had to try them on. Instant comfort for me! I especially like the fact that it is a lace-up as you can vary the fit of the shoe – my feet always swell a bit in the heat and I like to go a bit bigger in the summer so I don’t get blisters! They are suede leather with a 3 inch stacked heel and zipper in the back. They come in 5 colors, check out the Sugar Plum color. These are definitely spring/summer shoes. I will wear with cropped culottes – can’t wait.
I hope you enjoy and have a great weekend!
