For starters, I had to prioritize two volunteer efforts as they needed a significant amount of my time to move forward.
The second reason is that I have found it difficult to write anything meaningful. My head is spinning by all the violent happenings and the hateful talk. Even as I sit here this morning, the news is covering the tragedy in Nice. My heart goes out to all those affected by this awful event.
I don’t like what is happening – the terrorist attacks, the bigotry, the hatred. I know people in our country are upset about one thing or another, but why do our leaders have to talk such hate and attack each other on a personal level? This is so frustrating to me. Instead of fighting and calling each other names, why not work together? Especially people in leadership positions!
I saw this quote from Nelson Mandela last week and I just had to post it on Instagram.
Think of this – no one is born hating another person. People learn to hate!
Ok – I am not going to go on about this any more. I can only do my part by contributing positively to those who come in contact with me. Do my part by reaching out with a helping hand, saying a kind word, giving a smile, and always looking positively for solutions to problems. In my own way, making the people who come in contact with me feel a little better. Spread love, not hate.
I think this sums it up –
How are you staying positive at this time? I would love to hear your thoughts and what you are doing.
I promise – next week I will be back to writing about style inspiration. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
