The approaching change of seasons is always exciting here in New England. After these hot days of August, we’re all looking for forward to the crisp cool air and the hustle bustle of back to school activities.
As with fall nearly here, we soon with start to change out our summer clothes with our fall wardrobe. In fact, I wrote about this last week in Guide to Cleanse Your Closet for Fall. In addition, many of you have asked me “what are the new colors for fall?”
Just recently, Pantone® issued their fashion color report for the fall. They titled the report “A Unity of Strength, Confidence and Complexity” and their inspiration came from “the desire for tranquility, strength, and optimism”. Sounds good to me! Were they thinking that maybe we would all need this to get through the rest of the political season?
The color palette is led by the Blue family. Above is my quick show of all the colors. If you are interested in more detail, just check out this fabulous blog post by my friend, Nora, of Jacket Society.
I decided to share her post since it is beautifully done. While you are on her website, check out Nora’s amazing shop full of unique jackets, wraps, and jewelry.
Can you guess which color is my favorite? Yes, it is bodacious. Not only do I love the color, I love the word. I was further sold on the color when I looked up the exact meaning. This is from the Urban Dictionary.
I’m going to have to find something “bodacious” to accent my wardrobe for fall!😉
Tell me what you think of the fall colors and which is your favorite!
