One of the trends that I’m very thankful for this spring is the block heel. It is finally back and in such great styles.
The best feature of the block heel is that it allows for stability and comfort while providing some height which we all love. When you’re wearing a block heel it’s so much easier walking on the grates in the city or the brick sidewalks that are all over New England. You don’t have to walk on your tippy toes!
In the stores or online you can find low or high heels, sandals, pumps, gladiator, ankle straps, booties – all these various styles now come with a block heel. There are so many different looks that it was difficult to narrow the field down. Here I’m featuring different styles and price points – something for everyone!

For all of you who like the gladiator sandal here is one from Sole Society. I’m featuring it in a mustard colored suede but, if mustard or suede are not for you, there are several other neutrals and leather options.
Here’s a nude pump that is great for the office. As I said, these are so much easier for walking on sidewalks that are grated or made of brick.
I love the color of this dainty ankle strap sandal from DVF. I’m not sure you can see the various textures in the picture but it is both leather and suede. It also comes in beige. This shoe is 25% off through March 28th as part of Friends & Family!
I had to feature a mule for those who slip their shoes on & off during the day! This one from Tory Burch comes in mirrored leather. Great for day or night, city or beachside!
Love this snake embossed sandal by SJP. Of course, Carrie knows her shoes!
I saved my favorites for last. Yes, these are the most expensive but then you pay for quality, comfort and fit. I have always been a favorite of SW as he offers multiple widths. Both of these styles come in narrow, medium, or wide. Check out the colors of the NearlyNude – aqua, dandelion, and the water color which I love. I also included the Tazzlelean sandal with tassel and a lower heel.
Last, but not least, shop your closet! Do you have any block heels hiding in the back that you want to bring front and center this spring?
